The third series of four Leadership Awards from the Wilson Center for Leadership and Innovation were presented Monday at the Clarence Town Park Clubhouse.

The Wilson Center for Leadership and Innovation was founded by Dr. Emmett Murphy, New York Times best-selling author, and the late Wilson Greatbatch, inventor of the implantable pacemaker.

Gabryszak grabs lunch at Depew

Assemblyman Dennis Gabryszak stopped by Depew High School on Friday to sample what the cafeteria had to offer and talk with students involved in student government and government classes.

The official accepted an invitation to the school from Barbara Albi, the district’s food service director, who frequently lobbies on school nutrition issues both in Albany and Washington, D.C.

Village of Depew bonds Lee Street sewer work

The Village of Depew is one step closer to installing a new storm sewer and sanitary sewer pipes in the Lee Street neighborhood.

Board members approved a resolution to bond no more than $3.5 million for the project on Monday at their board meeting.

Child advocacy center to host information session

Every year, more than 500 children in Western New York are abused, according to Child and Adolescent Treatment Services.

On Wednesday, May 23, CATS will host a community information session at the Lee Gross Anthone Child Advocacy Center in Buffalo to spread awareness about the various services offered for mentally and physically abused children from throughout the area.

Stolen trailer leads to man’s arrest

A Buffalo man has been arrested by Cheektowaga police in a stolen trailer case.

According to Detective Mark Jedd, Arthur Jordan, 45, was found to be driving a black utility trailer with no license plate on Thursday, April 19, at the corner of Vera Avenue and Pine Ridge Road.
