Elphick of Cheektowaga graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of John and Lynn Elphick of Greenway Boulevard, Cheektowaga. Elphick graduated from Maryvale High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Brockport State College.
