Carolers seek members
The Lancaster/Depew Carolers are seeking new participants. Members must be 18 years or older, but they don’t have to live in Lancaster or Depew. The group sings at nursing homes and other organizations throughout the holidays. The group will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Sept. 8 in the meeting room of the Lancaster Library, 5466 Broadway. Grief support sessions

The Life Transitions Center, 150 Bennett Road, Cheektowaga, will hold a support group for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one. The sessions are scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the second Thursday of each month starting Sept. 9. The fee is $5. For more information, call 836-6460.

Chili/chowder cook-off
set at Infant of Prague
Infant of Prague Church, 921 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga, will host a Chili/chowder cook-off and dance from 7 to 11 p.m., Friday, Sept. 10. Tickets are $5 pre-sale and $7 at the door. Beer, wine and pop will be available. There will also be a basket raffle, 50/50 split and prizes.
