Frank Scalisi, owned supermarket

Frank Scalisi, 94, of Cheektowaga, died on his birthday, Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012.

Mr. Scalisi was an Army veteran of World War II.

He owned and operated Rosati’s Supermarket in East Lovejoy with his late wife, Edith, for more than 50 years.

He was a past president of the Buffalo Retail Food Dealers, charter president of the Sertoma of Buffalo, a deputy sheriff for the Marine Division of Eric County and a member of the Advisory Board of Tripi Foods Inc.

Mr. Scalisi is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith (nee Rosati); three brothers; and three sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, Jan. 7, at Christ the King Church, with arrangements made by Amigone Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
