Cheektowaga police are waiting for the toxicology report in the unexplained death of a 25-year-old woman over the weekend.

According to police, the woman was found unresponsive in her Melody Lane home around 8 p.m. Sunday. She was transported to Sisters of Charity Hospital - St. Joseph Campus, where she was pronounced dead.

“The autopsy results were inconclusive,” said Capt. James Speyer. We’re waiting on the toxicology report.”

Speyer added that the woman’s death did not appear to be suspicious but police were investigating every possibility.
