SAT and ACT prep offered at Maryvale

All-Pro Tutoring and Test Preparation will offer free simulated SAT and ACT exams for students preparing for the tests. Tests are open to all high school students. Each student will receive a free, individualized score report to help prepare for the actual test. Testing will take place at Maryvale’s Robert A. Binner Educational Center, 1050 Maryvale Drive. Empire State College to host info sessions

Empire State College will hold public information sessions about associate and bachelor’s degree programs on the following dates: 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 11; and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, at the Niagara Frontier Center, Appletree Business Park, 2875 Union Road. Church plans anointing service

St. John Gualbert Church, 83 Gualbert Ave., will hold an anointing service during the Sunday, April 23, noon Mass.

Historical Association hosts speaker

The Cheektowaga Historical Association will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at the Cheektowaga Senior Center, 3349 Broadway. The guest speaker will be Sandy Starks with the topic “Historic Heroines of Western New York.” The meeting is free, and light refreshments will be served.

Senior Center to hold Medicaid info session

To learn more about Medicaid in Erie County, how that money is spent and who qualifies, visit the Cheektowaga Senior Center, 3349 Broadway, at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 25. Mike Szukala, Erie County Medicaid inspector general, will be at the Senior Center for a short presentation. To attend call the office at 686-3930.

Church seeks flea market vendors

St. Stephens-Bethlehem United Church of Christ is looking for vendors to take part in its 14th annual flea market, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the church, 750 Wehrle Drive. The table fee is $20. Interested vendors should call 632-4226 or 684-8731 to register. Proceeds benefit the St. Stephens’ mission fund.

Congrega Society sets Mass, breakfast

The Congrega Society at St. Lawrence Parish will hold a Mass and breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at the church, 1520 E. Delevan Ave., Buffalo, one block from Eggert Road. The society is a prayer and service organization with members from across Western New York. Depew PTSO to hold auction

The Depew High School PTSO will host a theme tray auction on Friday, April 28, in the large gym at Depew High School, 5201 S. Transit Road, Depew. Doors open at 6 p.m., Tickets are $5 per person. The event will include over 100 baskets for raffle and 50/50 drawings. Pizza and soda will be available for purchase. For more information, call 686-5091.

Babysitting course scheduled

The South Line Fire Company will host a free babysitting course from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the fire hall, 1049 French Road, Cheektowaga. Doors will open at noon for registration. The course is open to all potential babysitters age 12 and above. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion and a babysitters packet.
