Buffalo Championship Wrestling at Legion

Francis J. Donovan American Legion Post 1626, 3210 Genesee St., will host Buffalo Championship Wrestling at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 29. A limited number of VIP ringside tickets are $14, general admission is $12 and tickets for children 12 years old and younger are $8. Prices increase $2 the day of the event. For more information, call the post at 896-3346 from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Empire State sets info sessions

Empire State College will hold public information sessions about associate and bachelor’s degree programs at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 13, and at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at the Niagara Frontier Center, Appletree Business Park, 2875 Union Road.

Lions schedule annual beef roast

The Cheektowaga Lions Club will hold its annual beef roast from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday Aug. 17, at the Bowen Grove, 3925 Bowen Road, Lancaster. The beef dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Hot dogs, hamburgers, corn, clam chowder, watermelon, beer and soft drinks will be available beginning at 2 p.m. Music and prizes are also part of the event. Tickets cost $25 presale or $28 at the door. For tickets, call Dan at 685-2130.

St. John’s seeks vendors for fair

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church is preparing for its second annual vendor fair and is looking for additional vendors. The event will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at the church, 3512 Clinton St. During the event, a Weidner’s chicken dinner will be offered for takeout. Symphony to perform at Polish Fest

The Cheektowaga Community Symphony Orchestra will hold a concert at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at Town Park, 2600 Harlem Road. The concert is part of the first day of the Polish-American Arts Festival and will also feature performances by the Harmony Polish Folk Ensemble. The concert is free, but donations are welcome.
