Buffalo man caught with $5,000 worth of cocaine pleads guilty

Michael Queener, 32, of Buffalo, has pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a December traffic stop in Cheektowaga, Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn Jr. said last week.

Queener will be sentenced to six years in prison when he is sentenced in December by Erie County Court Justice Thomas P. Franczyk.

According to police, shortly before 3 p.m. on Dec. 19, Erie County Sheriff’s Office narcotics personnel stopped Queener as he traveled on the Kensington Expressway in Cheektowaga.

Queener was transporting more than 4 ounces of powder cocaine in his vehicle with an estimated street value of $5,000, police said.
