Unyts blood drive scheduled to be held at New Era Field

The Buffalo Bills and Unyts have teamed up to host a community blood drive on Tuesday, Sept. 19, inside the Paul Maguire Club at New Era Field, according to a release from Pegula Sports and Entertainment.

The blood drive runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Donors are welcome to make an appointment by visiting www.unyts.org/teamunyts. Walk-ins are welcome.

The event will give presenting donors an opportunity to enjoy a Tuesday at the stadium as DJ Milk plays the Paul Maguire Club, and donors will have a chance to take a tour of New Era Field while crews prepare for the Bills to host the Denver Broncos.

One hundred pairs of tickets to the Sept. 24 game against the Broncos will be given away, and all donors will be invited to enter to win, the release said.

Bills linebacker Preston Brown and Wall of Famer Steve Tasker will each make a visit to the blood drive for meet-and-greet opportunities with presenting donors.

“We are encouraging the Western New York community to come out and donate at our annual Buffalo Bills blood drive on Sept. 19 and help in saving local lives at local hospitals,” said Mark Simon, president and chief executive officer of Unyts. “It’s important for Unyts to partner with organizations that truly give back to this community. The Bills organization has been doing just that for decades, and we are happy to be part of the team.”

Donors who can’t make it to the field can donate at their nearest Unyts Neighborhood Donation Center between Friday Sept. 15, and Friday, Sept. 22, to enter to win tickets to the Bills/Broncos game.
