Notice of Public Hearing Town of Cheektowaga FY 2018 Annual Plan Community Development Block Grant and HOME Programs

A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 7:00 P.M. at Cheektowaga Town Hall, 3301 Broadway, Cheektowaga, NY 14227, on the Town's Fiscal Year 2018 Annual Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME) Programs to obtain the views of citizens and interested parties on housing and community development needs in the Town and on the draft Annual Action Plan which have been made available for public review in Town Hall, the Community Development Office, Cheektowaga Libraries and online on the Cheektowaga web site. The Annual Action Plan outlines specific housing and community development projects proposed to be funded with FY 2018 CDBG and HOME Program funds. The Town is eligible to receive funds estimated to be $910,260 in CDBG funds and approximately $191,983 in HOME Investment Partnership Program funds from HUD in 2018. Any difference in actual allocations received will be either added to, or deducted from, the Single-Family Rehabilitation Program. The Town also estimates approximately $300,000 in CDBG and $20,000 in HOME program income from its revolving housing rehabilitation loan program and $190,000 in economic development revolving business loan program income will be received. Those wishing to offer comments at the hearing are asked to also submit a written text, which may also be submitted to the Cheektowaga Community Development Office, 275 Alexander Avenue, Cheektowaga, New York, 14211. Interpreters or signers for the hearing impaired will be made available at the meeting upon prior request.
