Cleve Hill PTSA plans theme tray auction

The Cleveland Hill PTSA will hold a theme tray raffle at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 9, at the school, 105 Mapleview Road. Tickets are $5 per sheet or $20 for five sheets. Tickets for 50/50 and door prizes are one for $1, three for $2 and five for $10. The event includes more than 100 baskets, door prize, a 50/50 raffle and refreshments. Grand prizes include four Disney one-day park hopper passes, four Darien Lake season tickets, an Amazon Echo and an Apple Watch.

Radio group announces auction

The Buffalo Amateur Radio Repeater Association will host its annual ham radio and electronics auction at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at St. Bartholomew’s Church, 2368 Eggert Road, Tonawanda. The doors open at 6:45. The auction will include amateur radio gear, scanners, computer equipment, parts and test equipment. The cost is $2 per person. Golf league seeks participants

The Cheektowaga Men’s Senior Golf League is seeking participants for the spring and summer. Members, or their spouse, must be at least 60 years old and live in Cheektowaga, Sloan or Depew (west of Transit Road). The 20-week league plays on Wednesday mornings at Grover Cleveland Golf Course starting May 9. Dues are $80, plus greens fees and cart fees. All ability levels are welcome. Intro to fly fishing adult course set

The Lake Erie Chapter of Fly Fishers International will hold “Introduction to Fly Fishing,” a course for adults, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at West Seneca East Middle School, 1445 Center Road. Classes started Jan. 30 and run through March 13, covering the basics of fly fishing — setup, knots, casting and fly tying. All materials for the course will be supplied by the instructor. ‘Souper Sunday’ seeks cook off entries

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church will host its first Souper Sunday soup and chili cook-off contest from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at the church, 3512 Clinton St. Christes, Ebenezer Stop and Shop and Koz’s Pizza Alley, along with pending contestants, will compete for the “Golden Ladle” award. St. Philip to hold spaghetti dinner

St. Philip the Apostle Church, 950 Losson Road, is sponsoring a Rosina spaghetti and meatball dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25. Presale tickets are $10 each or $35 for a family four-pack. Tickets will also be available at the door for $11, but the family pack deal is presale only.
