Dale charged with fraud

Former Sloan Village attorney and Erie County Legislator David Dale, 49, of Lancaster was arraigned last week in Erie County Court on multiple charges of fraud and larceny.

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III maintains that Dale, after being disbarred, in 2005 continued to practice law by maintaining a law office, providing legal services to clients and receiving fees from those clients. Dale also allegedly stole money from individuals after pretending that he was allowed to provide legal services.

If convicted, Dale faces a sentence of up to 11 years in jail.
