Many cultures to be celebrated at Union East Elementary School

Union East Elementary School will host the annual Multicultural Festival from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, in the parking lot next to the school, 3550 Union Road.

The event is open to all Cheektowaga Central students and their families and will feature tables with crafts and cuisine from 13 different countries.

Many of the tables will be overseen by students’ parents who are originally from the countries being represented. There will also be tables supporting local organizations including the Cheektowaga Police Bike Patrol, Forks Fire Department, Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve and others.

There will be a cultural fashion show put together by the high school’s International Club students, and a live steel drum band will provide musical entertainment.
